We’re delighted to announce that ResiSure is now an official recognised supplier to the Scottish Association of Landlords (SAL), marking a significant step in our mission to make every rental property in Scotland safe to live in.
This partnership strengthens our ability to support landlords, letting agents, and property professionals with innovative technology designed to proactively tackle damp, mould, and disrepair issues even further.
What This Means for Scottish Landlords
As a recognised SAL supplier, ResiSure is now part of a trusted network of organisations dedicated to helping landlords maintain high standards, remain compliant, and protect their tenants.
With new regulations like Awaab’s Law and the upcoming Renters’ Rights Act, landlords in Scotland will face stricter duties to fix hazards such as damp and mould promptly. ResiSure makes it easy to stay ahead of these legal requirements, keeping properties safe and compliant.
From 6 October 2026, private landlords must investigate reports of damp and mould and start any repairs needed within set timescales. Once a tenant reports a damp and mould issue, both private and socials landlords will be required to investigate within 10 working days, and provide a written report of investigation findings within 3 working days. You must then initiate repairs within 5 working days. Prioritising these quick-response windows ensures that minor vulnerabilities don’t escalate into major safety failures. For more information on deadlines and updated legislation to private renting, please visit the Scottish Government website here.
These rules apply across both private and social rented properties, and failure to comply can lead to tenants seeking compensation or Rent Relief Orders through the First-tier Tribunal. ResiSure helps landlords stay ahead of these obligations, keeping properties safe, compliant, and healthy for tenants.
Proactive Property Protection with Smart Technology
ResiSure’s intelligent monitoring solution gives landlords real-time visibility into the environmental conditions inside their properties, allowing Scottish landlords to:
- Detect early signs of damp and mould
- Monitor humidity, temperature, and air quality
- Prevent costly repairs through early intervention
- Support compliance with evolving housing standards
By shifting from reactive maintenance to proactive prevention, landlords can protect both their properties and their tenants.
A Shared Commitment to Raising Standards
Working alongside the Scottish Association of Landlords reinforces our shared goal: improving living conditions across the private rented sector. Head of Sales, James Auger commented:
“We’re proud to be trusted by the Scottish Association of Landlords and excited to be at the forefront of improving rental homes across Scotland. Our technology is already making a real difference, helping landlords, property managers, and tenants alike by preventing issues like damp and mould, improving living conditions, and supporting compliance with evolving housing standards. Through this partnership, we look forward to creating even safer, healthier, and happier homes across Scotland.”
Together, we’re helping landlords take a more informed, data-driven approach to property management – reducing risk, improving tenant wellbeing, and setting a higher standard for rental homes across Scotland.
