Private landlords in England are a step closer to legal deadlines for fixing damp, mould and other serious hazards. On 9 October 2026, the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) published its consultation on extending Awaab's Law to private rented tenancies. It runs until 11.59 pm on 18 December 2026.
